Our experienced and passionate educators look forward to supporting you in your homeschool journey with your middle and high school aged students! These classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00-3:00 at the Tomoka Christian Ormond Campus.

History 5-6
Join us for an exciting history class that explores the fascinating journey from the times of the early church to the Middle Ages! Students will discover the key events and figures that shaped our cultures, fostering curiosity and a love for learning.

Math 5
Students in Math 5 will continue building on the skills they developed in Math 4, and will apply them to “real world” scenarios. It is my goal to make math engaging and relevant through games, activities, and project based learning exercises in addition to the daily lesson activities. This year, students can expect to receive more individualized assistance during independent work times, learn cooperatively with other students during math project times, and discover how math is found in creation as well as how we use it every day.

English 5 - 6
Through a variety of literature genres in reading and by exploring how to write with structure and style using IEW's effective approach, your child's skills will soar as they immerse themselves in various time periods and different worlds.

Science 5-6
This Elementary Chemistry and Physics class provides a foundational understanding of the basic principles governing matter and energy. Through engaging experiments and interactive discussions, students will explore essential concepts that spark curiosity and foster a love for science.

Art Appreciation
In this engaging art appreciation class, students will explore various art movements and techniques while developing a deeper understanding of artistic. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own art pieces, allowing them to apply their newfound knowledge and unleash their creativity.

Math 6

English 7-8
From thesis statements to transitions, introductions to conclusions, students will learn the building blocks of a well-crafted essay in IEW's writing programs. Students will gain confidence in their ability to adequately craft descriptive writing, argumentative writing, and the beginning phases of literary analysis. Supplemental activities and lessons, along with creative elements, will be included to further encourage practice and understanding of essay writing that will prove purposeful in upper-level English classes.

Science 7-8
In our General Science class, we explore the wonders of creation through a biblical worldview. This course examines principles and discoveries that reflect God's design for the universe. Join us as we investigate the natural world, fostering curiosity while grounding our discussions in and faith. Together, we harmonize faith and reason in our for knowledge.

Health & Nutrition
In our Health and Nutrition class, middle and high school students will explore the essential of a balanced diet and the impact of nutrition on overall health. Through engaging lessons and hands-on, students will learn how to make informed food choices, understand the importance of physical activity, and develop lifelong healthy habits. This course encourages critical thinking about food and lifestyle, equipping students with the knowledge they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Personal Finance
This engaging course is designed equip students with financial skills that will last a lifetime. Students will learn about budgeting, saving, investing, and responsible spending, empowering them to make informed financial decisions.

Pre-Algebra
In this class, students will exercise their problem-solving skills and learn that math can be accessible and useful! We will be using Teaching Textbooks for daily lessons in addition to a variety of math puzzles, games, and activities!

Algebra 1 is an essential foundational course that students to the principles of algebraic thinking.
